Alphonso Bondzie, known to the scene as MC Skibadee, was one of the most influential voices in UK jungle and drum & bass, celebrated for a rapid-fire double-time chatting style that shaped how a generation of MCs approached the mic. A longstanding stage partner of DJ Hype and a two-decade creative partner of Shabba D, he brought a level of skill and energy to the booth that earned him legend status across the scene long before his passing in February 2022. His influence is still heard in jungle and drum & bass MCing today.
