About Nicky Blackmarket

Nicholas Andersson-Gylden, a breakbeat hardcore, jungle and drum and bass DJ. He began DJing at fourteen in the 1980s and is co-owner of Blackmarket Records in Soho, central London, now BM-Soho. In the early 1990s he helped create a department in the store for the breakbeat scene that grew into drum and bass, and he has played on pirate stations including Pulse FM and Eruption FM.
