The scene in Bournemouth
The Vault occupies a Grade II-listed former banking hall dating from around 1900, and has built a real reputation among drum & bass, jungle and garage crowds rather than trading on the building alone - past line-ups have included John 00 Fleming, DRS with Dogger, and Pirate Copy with Ben Murphy.
Canvas, a loft-style venue in the same town, runs a different lane - house and techno from resident DJs in a more upscale setting - so the two venues between them cover most of what the town's electronic scene actually sounds like on a given weekend.
