The scene in Norwich
The Waterfront on King Street has been run by the Union of UEA Students since 1993, and its booking history is wider than its indie reputation suggests - past line-ups have included Aphex Twin, Faithless, Moby and The Prodigy alongside its more expected guitar-band bookings.
That mix is fairly typical of Norwich as a whole - the city doesn't split cleanly into a 'clubbing scene' and a 'gig scene', and a lot of nights out cross between the two without anyone thinking twice about it.
