The scene in Cardiff
The Great Hall, inside Cardiff University Students' Union, has attracted touring bands since the 1970s and holds 1,600 on its own - linked with the Union's Taf and Y Plas rooms, it becomes a roughly 4,000-capacity superclub, one of the largest in Wales.
Depot, a 24,000 sq ft former warehouse on Curran Road, has been running events since 2015 - from electronic takeovers to its long-running Friday sell-out Bingo Lingo and a weekly Saturday street food social - and has built a reputation as the city's go-to for something less conventional than a standard club night.
