The scene in Newquay
Newquay carries Cornwall's real nightlife scene - The Koola runs three levels of hip-hop, rock, funk, drum & bass and house seven nights a week through summer, while Sailors runs as the town's late-night club proper, open to around 3-4am.
Boardmasters, held every August, combines live music with surfing and skateboarding competitions and is one of the bigger combined music-and-sport festivals in the UK calendar - it puts Newquay on a different scale to most seaside towns for the week it runs.
