The scene in Glasgow
Sub Club, open since 1987, is one of the oldest continuously operating nightclubs anywhere in the world and has shaped the city's reputation for a house and techno crowd that takes the music seriously rather than treating a night out as a fashion parade.
Glasgow's scene has always been quieter about itself than Manchester's or London's, which if anything has protected it - the audience is there for the programming, not to be seen at it.
