The scene in Salford
The Bag Factory is run by Acid Rain UK as a genuine community and passion project - small (60 capacity), grassroots-focused, and doubling as the base for their UNSAMPLED rave TV show, which documents Manchester and Salford's underground scene as it happens rather than after the fact.
The same team is taking over The White Hotel, the well-known venue next door, reopening it in 2027 under a new name, Bastion, in collaboration with Strange Art Collective CIC - a real expansion of the same grassroots approach onto a bigger stage.
